Diana Bastien, PsyD, ABPP, is a board-certified clinical child and adolescent psychologist who works with children, teens, and their parents. She is one of 13 licensed psychologists in Washington who is board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) with a specialty in clinical child and adolescent psychology. Dr. Bastien offers psychotherapy using treatment approaches shown to be effective in research studies. She has completed ECHO Autism: Mental Health, which is a specialized training in providing cognitive behavioral therapy to autistic youth, at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. She has extensive experience providing therapy via telehealth to children, and her practice is exclusively telehealth. Dr. Bastien’s areas of expertise and interest include:

  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and related conditions

  • Anxiety, including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, illness and health anxiety, separation anxiety, and specific phobias

  • Functional neurological symptom disorder (formerly termed “conversion disorder”)

  • PANS/PANDAS

  • Tic disorders, including Tourette’s Disorder, and chronic motor or vocal tics

  • Autism and other forms of neurodiversity

  • Insomnia and other sleep concerns

Dr. Bastien has published papers in several peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology, Pediatric Emergency Care, and Psychiatric Clinics of North America. She spent two years as an Elected Board of Directors Member with the Northwest PANDAS/PANS Network, a non-profit organization that serves as a local resource on PANS and autoimmune encephalitis for parents, families, medical professionals, and others impacted by these illnesses. She serves as an early career psychologist mentor to graduate students through the Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology as well as the Society of Pediatric Psychology, and a mentor to candidates seeking specialty board certification in clinical child and adolescent psychology through ABPP.
