Parenting Consultation Overview

Several of the psychologists at CAPSS offer parenting support for common parenting challenges including children with strong emotions, challenging behaviors, and anxiety. We utilize evidence-based approaches including Incredible Years (IY), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE). We offer individual parenting support and group support.

Additionally, several of our psychologists offer specific parenting consultation services including Dr. Amy Bohlander’s Parent Roadmap for parents unsure where to start or what their child needs, and Dr. Rosalind Oti’s Transition-to-Adulthood parent consultations for parents of autistic teenagers and young adults.
