Current services offered:
Individual Therapy for Tweens, Teens, & Young Adults
I enjoy helping young people navigate anxiety, worries, fears, and stress. My individual therapy clients range in age from tweens through young adults. Many of my clients have anxiety or OCD, and oftentimes they are also neurodivergent—in other words, they think or learn differently, and may have a diagnosis such as autism or ADHD. I also enjoy working with ambitious, high-achieving, and stressed out tweens, teens, and young adults, and helping them learn skills to manage their stress and worry.
I work from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy framework, drawing on evidence-based interventions to support each specific client towards their own goals. A typical therapy session involves discussing thoughts, feelings, or actions related to your goals, figuring out new strategies that may be helpful for you, and trying them out. Depending on my particular client and their goals, I may also use Exposure/ Response Prevention (ERP) to help clients gradually face and overcome their fears.
Parenting Anxious Kids- Group
I periodically offer a workshop called Parenting Anxious Kids. This 6-session (1-hour each session) small-group workshop is geared towards parents of elementary-school-aged kids who experience anxiety or OCD. More information can be found on this webpage and flyer. If you’re interested in participating, please complete the New Client Inquiry Form.
IQ Testing
I also conduct IQ testing for gifted programming and school planning purposes, including private school admissions. If you would like to schedule IQ testing ONLY with Dr. Bohlander, you can self-schedule here.
Professional Consultation
For other mental health professionals, I offer clinical consultation about topics of expertise (autism/ neurodiversity, pediatric anxiety & OCD), as well as private practice business consultation to providers looking to start or grow their private practice. Additionally, I am happy to provide school consultation, talks, and trainings about topics of expertise. See this page for more information.
