Parent Roadmap
Consultation for parents navigating supports and resources for their child
Dr. Amy Bohlander offers Parent Roadmap consultations to help parents and caregivers prioritize and access supports and resources that promote their child’s learning, social, behavioral, and emotional development. When you have a concern about your child, it can be difficult to know what they need, what services might help, or where to start. With so many different types of services and providers- many with long waitlists- it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and unsure where to begin.
Parent Roadmap is generally not a good fit for situations involving active legal proceedings, custody or co-parenting disputes, divorce-related matters, CPS or other state agency involvement, juvenile justice concerns, substance use, chronic truancy, delinquency, or other significant safety-risk or high-risk adolescent behaviors.
What To Expect
In a Parent Roadmap appointment, you’ll receive individualized guidance tailored to your specific questions and concerns. Examples of common reasons for scheduling a Parent Roadmap appointment include:

You’re considering therapy for your child but don’t know what type or how to find the right provider
Your child is experiencing a specific learning, behavioral, social, or emotional issue* at home or at school, and you’re unsure what to do, or if this is something that will resolve on its own or if you need additional support
You’re on waitlists, looking into services, or already have some services/ supports in place and want to know whether you’re on the right track
Your child is experiencing multiple concerns, and you’re feeling overwhelmed about where to go next or what to focus on, and would like help creating a clear, prioritized plan
