Therapy for Children, Teens, & Young Adults with OCD

We provide evidence-based individual therapy for children, teens, and young adults with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), including for the following types of OCD presentations:

  • Contamination

  • Fear of Harm

  • Compulsive Checking

  • Mental Compulsions

  • Rumination

  • Intrusive Thoughts

  • Perfectionism

  • “Just right” OCD

  • Relationship OCD

  • Religious/ moral OCD

In treating OCD, our providers utilize Exposure and Response Prevention (E/RP), which is the most widely used evidence-based treatment for OCD. Additionally, we draw on other techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as appropriate to each case, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE).

For parents of children with anxiety and OCD, Dr. Amy Bohlander offers a 6-session small-group workshop titled Parenting Anxious Kids.
