Clinical Practice and Specialties

Dr. Bastien is a board-certified clinical child and adolescent psychologist specializing in the assessment and evidence-based treatment of OCD, anxiety disorders, and related conditions in children and adolescents. She previously served as the lead psychologist for the Anxiety Intensive Program at Seattle Children’s Hospital, where she provided specialized treatment to youth with complex anxiety and related presentations.

She has extensive experience providing exposure and response prevention (ERP) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), including treatment for autistic and otherwise neurodivergent youth. Her approach is individualized and neurodiversity-affirming, with particular attention to distinguishing OCD symptoms from autism-related routines, rigidity, sensory experiences, perseverative interests, and repetitive behaviors so that treatment targets fear-driven symptoms without unnecessarily pathologizing neurodevelopmental differences.

Dr. Bastien completed the International OCD Foundation’s Pediatric Behavior Therapy Training Institute (Pediatric BTTI), an intensive training program focused on the treatment of OCD and related disorders in children and adolescents. She also completed ECHO Autism: Mental Health through the University of Missouri School of Medicine, a specialized program focused on adapting evidence-based mental health treatment for autistic youth. She provides psychotherapy exclusively through telehealth.
