What We Don’t Offer

We aren’t the right fit for everyone. Because we do not have after-hours services or staff for emergencies, we cannot accept clients who have experienced a recent mental health crisis.

We do NOT currently offer services for the following types of questions or concerns:

  • Divorce & custody-related issues

  • Actively suicidal clients & non-suicidal self-injury

  • Substance use & addiction concerns

  • Abuse & Neglect

  • Eating Disorders

  • Bipolar Disorder

  • Psychotic Disorders (e.g., schizophrenia)

  • Dissociative Disorders

  • Personality Disorders

  • Couples issues

We also do NOT provide legal or forensic work including:

  • Co-parenting evaluations or therapy

  • Parent custody evaluations

  • Court-mandated evaluations or therapy

  • Individual Educational Evaluations (IEEs)

We do NOT provide these specific types of therapy (among many others— these are just some of the common ones that we get asked about and do not provide):

  • Play therapy

  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

  • Couples Counseling

  • Family Counseling

  • EMDR

  • Biofeedback

For referrals outside of CAPSS, we recommend contacting Washington’s Mental Health Referral Service for Children and Teens.
